A Colourful Family Group

We are a Colourful Family Group, which means that “Colourful” is an important topic for us. It refers to the diverse and colourful activities our Business Units engage in: steel and steel processing, grating technology, surface treatment and zinc recycling. But it also refers to our ROTO work force. We respect and welcome Family members of different background, ethnic origin, religion, gender, sexual orientations or with different opinions. To promote inclusion and attract a more diverse work force in all positions, we are working on improving our diversity and recruitment policies and focus more on equal opportunities for all.

More women in all positions

In line with our ambition for more diversity in all positions, we strive for a more equal distribution of men and women, especially in leadership positions. We still see that in our Leadership Team (the management teams of ROTO and the Business Units), the majority of our leaders are male. When there is a job opening in the ROTO Leadership Team, we therefore stimulate the Business Units to look for female Family members to fill these positions. We also welcome more female Family members in production. More diversity enriches our Colourful Family with different points of view that can contribute to new solutions.

Supervisory Board gives good example

ROTO has an independent Supervisory Board consisting of four persons of which two male and two female: Coert Zachariasse (chairman), Heleen Cocu–Wassink, Petra van Saaze and Arnaud de Boer. We are proud that our Supervisory Board has an equal representation of male and female Board members and sets a good example for the rest of ROTO!
